Hannah Montana 3 soundtrack
Radio Disney exclusive
#1 on Billboard in three weeks; right out of the box

For about a week Radio Disney has been hyping it’s exclusive premier of songs from the Hannah Montana 3 soundtrack, available in a week.

Only one problem with that Radio Disney exclusive – all the songs are already available on YouTube. As I Tweeted a friend, why go out and pay for a CD when you can listen to it on YouTube, MySpace, a myriad of online radio stations? Is it that important to say you have it on your iPod? Listening to it right now on an excellent stereo with world famous speakers. Sounds fabulous – all from a computer. Not available for a week. Probably could find Demi Lovato Here We Go Again on YouTube. Maybe even the Bandslam soundtrack or I Love You Beth Cooper soundtrack.

My Hannah Montana 3 soundtrack prediction? Billboard #1 right out of the box on July 19. Probably sell 700,000 to 800,000 units, double what Jonas Brothers’ Lines Vines and Trying Times did – and it isn’t a Miley Cyrus CD; Hannah Montana.

No YouTube video on Bandslam, but here’s the song list (I want anything featuring either Michalka sister as well as Vanessa Hudgens – finest vocalists of our time). Release date Aug. 11:

1. Rebel Rebel - David Bowie

2. Femme Fatale - Velvet Underground & Nico

3. I Want You To Want Me - I Can't Go On, I'll Go On (Featuring Aly Michalka)

4. What Heart - Oliver Future

5. Lovesick - 78 Violet (Featuring Aly & AJ)

6. Twice Is Too Much - Exist

7. Amphetamine - I Can't Go On, I'll Go On (Featuring Aly Michalka)

8. 24 Hours - Shack

9. Stuck In The Middle - The Burning Hotels

10. Young Folks - Peter, Bjorn & John

11. Someone To Fall Back On - I Can't Go On, I'll Go On (Featuring Aly Michalka)

12. Blizzard Woman Blues - The Daze

13. Everything I Own - I Can't Go On, I'll Go On (Featuring Vanessa Hudgens)

14. What Light - Wilco

15. Where Are You Now - Honor Society

Hannah Montana movie due on DVD Aug. 18

For the three of us left in the world who didn’t see Hannah Montana movie when it came out in April, Disney will be releasing Hannah Montana movie on DVD Aug. 18.

I pick this as Ashley Tisdale Guilty Pleasure third hit

Ashley Tisdale is one of the 21st Century's greatest music marketers. I've blogged about how as soon as It's Alright, It's Okay was headed down the chart, she intelligently released Masquerade. Here's the song I choose for the third hit off Guilty Pleasure. Let's see if it's another Marketing Sociologist first, like announcing Tisdale's The Grove appearance in Los Angeles this coming Saturday and Miley Cyrus fall tour, announced here April 11.

Hayden Panettiere missing
Vanessa Hudgens gearing up promos

While Hayden Panettiere is as missing on promoting I Love You Beth Cooper as South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, Vanessa Hudgens has been making hay promoting three of her upcoming movies – since April.

Panettiere recently completed filming Carmel, a Disney production due out “sometime” in 2010 (a bad sign). It was filmed, ironically, around Carmel and also stars Clint Eastwood’s wife, Dina.

Panettiere lost the role in Footloose to Julianne Hough, who stars opposite Zac Efron clone Chance Crawford (oh, come on – they look identical – Vanessa can’t even tell them apart – lucky for Chance).

Hudgens and Alyson Michalka see Bandslam opening Aug. 14 against A Perfect Getaway, District 9, The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, It Might Get Loud, Ponyo (a Disney film), The Post Grad Survival Guide, Taking Woodstock and The Time Traveler’s Wife.

Beastly, which stars Hudgens, one of the Olsen twins and Doogie Howser, wraps filming in Canada right about the time Bandslam opens. Beastly is schedule for a July 30, 2010 release.

You can bet Hudgens will be out there like her boy toy did, promoting the heck out of Bandslam. Then it’s off to “various locations” to film Sucker Punch, which TeamHudgens.org claims is filming September through the end of January. Scheduled for March 25, 2011 opening.

Hayden Panettiere lacking promotion for I Love You Beth Cooper?

Where the heck is Hayden Panettiere? With 18 days left until I Love You Beth Cooper premiers, isn’t it time she be hitting up Conan O’Brien, Regis and Kelly, Ellen DeGeneres, Good Morning America, Today and be doing Ryan Seacrest and other key radio markets? Even Radio Disney.

Has 20th Century Fox laid off all its PR people, or are they as lame as the entire PR industry in the 21st Century? That’s why smart marketers have become Marketing Sociologists.

I Love You Beth Cooper opens against Sacha Baron Cohen’s Bruno, Blood – The Last Vampire, Humpday and Soul Power, a story about a three-day music festival in Zaire in 1974 featuring a performance by James Brown.

Cohen’s ALL over the place. Where’s Hayden Panettiere?

Why is it Niley and not Mick?

Are those Taylor Swift's boots? Nice shirt, Miley. I'm sure the front three rows enjoyed looking up it. Those photos are probably on THOSE Web sites!
