Forbes listed Miley Cyrus' wages last year as $25-million, same as the Jonas Brothers, when she actually made well in excess of $100-million.

History repeats itself. Forbes listed Taylor Swift at $16-million. Here's a woman who has sold in excess of 8-million CDs. So, if you include only CD sales, Forbes hit it on the head. Doesn't include magazines, publishing rights, concerts. Forbes might want to look into those little things that add to an artist's revenue, pushing Swift close to the $40-million mark.

Swift is within striking distance of having her debut album spend the longest time on the Billboard 200 than any act since 1997, when charts criteria were changed. She's a week or two away from topping Shania Twain's record of top country female on the longevity trail.

Yet Forbes reports only $16-million. What about that little concert tour? Miley Cyrus is grossing $90-million on 45 dates, but will probably only net $25-million (I didn't know how elaborate that stage was). Swift had at least 55 dates. Once more, where does Forbes get its information?

Which of the divas will win the bigger crowd in Los Angeles and Las Vegas? Box office total is unfair since Britney's tickets are almost three times of Miley's cost.

Emily Osment songs you won’t hear On new EP All The Right Wrongs

Emily Osment steered clear of Disney and Hollywood records, choosing Wind-Up for her label. Maybe not a great choice, but the days of a record label behind you are long gone (see Building the Band Brand: Becoming famous in 21st Century at TweenMarketing.blogspot.com). You need your own publicist and handle your own career.

The thing that bothers me is she went for an EP (extended play) rather than a full CD. This killed even Miley Cyrus on The Time of Our Lives, which languished at #3 on the Billboard charts instead of going to #1.

Yes, I do believe Osment is one of the greatest new Hollywood stars, and they all seem to be coming out of Disney. Look at the video with Mitchell Musso or Hero In Me. No indication she’d turn into the Hollywood Hottie she is today. Same with Alyson Michalka (here). Believe Osment will be the second decade of 21st Century equivalent to Heather Locklear or Molly Ringwald; 21st Century Liz Taylor or Bridgette Bardot?

By the way, Amazon is smartly offering All the Right (should be Wright) Wrongs for $5.98, more accurate pricing than The Time of Our Lives $8.

For months I've provided Miley Cyrus advice on this blog. Finally she listens to me, taking the fun out of the Wonder World 2009 tour. Last night in Oakland she gave up riding a Harley that weights tons and tons on four cables over the audience.

I was waiting for the headlines, Miley Cyrus motorcycle cable breaks, killing fans. Darn - why you listening to me now, Miley? Hell, it's been about a day since any Hollywood stars have croaked. When they have the awards banquets with all the stars that died in 2009, it will last until the next morning. We could have included all the Miley fans dieing at the hands of a runaway Harley.

Have a feeling it wasn't my advice (I am told she follows this blog), but the arena couldn't facilitate the cable rig - we can hope. Maybe that Harley will fall in Glendale on Friday. Will Jordin Sparks be under the Harley in her hometown? Good planning on eliminating the competition, Miley!

Did not announce it, but Selena Gomez and The Scene were set to perform at Sunday's D23 Convention currently going on at Anaheim Convention Center. A Radio Disney rep informed me today Gomez will be appearing, but not performing at the event. Awww.

Here current song, Falling Down, debuted last week at #51 on Billboard's 100 charts and dropped to #55 this week.

Miley sent a Twitter yesterday that's going to result in you forking over $15 today, but it is a good thing. It will get your children reading.

Get ready for songs from the soundtrack to come out around the 10th of October to build recognition for the movie due in January (beginning of the second decade). Miley will be on tour and its a good bet she'll add The Last Song tunes mid-tour - after I've seen the concert!

So a soundtrack $15, movie, about $20 per child when you figure in the popcorn and stuff and $20 for the book when you figure in shipping or taxes. Tour $100 per child. Miley's got your money!

Music can not be racist or chauvinistic - just can't Brooke Hogan, Redemption, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears

The beauty with music is you can’t tell if it is black or white, what country the singer is from. Truth be told, today it is not about the singer – machines can fix that – it’s about the record produce and his or her vision.

Currently listening to Redemption by Brooke Hogan. Many have knocked her and Paris Hilton (both remind me of each other even more than musically). I find Redemption an enjoyable work and I look forward to Paris Hilton’s next CD, too.

Unfortunately for Hogan, her producer has included the usually Britney Spears clone (Ruff Me Up); except it starts out as Womanizer and ends being Radar. Even Kelly Clarkson suffered cloning.

As stated, it’s the producer. All I Want is You could be Mandy Moore, but it’s Brooke Hogan.

Miley Cyrus wraps her 2009 tour in the UK just before the New Year. Right now she’s rehearsing for the tour, after wrapping The Last Song movie less than two weeks ago.

She just released The Time of Our Lives EP that debuted at #3 this week on Billboard charts.

Good bet she’ll be on what used to be Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years; is it now Ryan Seabiscuit’s Rockin’ New Years? After all, she’ll be doing radio and morning news shows (Cyrus KNOWS how to do 21st Century marketing) at the beginning of the year promoting The Last Song.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun movie

Cyrus said she recently met Cyndi Lauper and was impressed. That’s why she did Girls Just Wanna Have Fun on Breakout. So impressed, that is one of two films Cyrus is scheduled to shoot after season four of Hannah Montana wraps (approximately summer 2010).

Possibly before Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Cyrus is scheduled to shoot a movie called Wings. Understand this is tentative. Believe Girls Just Want to Have Fun is another Momma Tish (Cyrus’ mother) production like The Last Song.

A personal prediction is Hannah Montana II: Legal and Dangerous movie following the fourth season wrap. Check the photo. Isn’t that Miley signaling Hannah Montana II?

Plugged her enough – Colbie Caillat broke through with Breakthrough to debut #1 on Billboard’s Top 200, selling 106,000 CDs. Someone named Skillet debuted at #2 with Awake. Miley Cyrus could have been #1, except The Time of Our Lives is a Walmart “exclusive” plus an EP. Maybe it should have been considered under the Hot 100 instead. She held the same #3 spot on the singles chart with Potty in the U.S.A.

Both Caillat and Skillet, a Linkin Park/Daughtry sound-a-like, offered twice as many songs as The Time of Our Lives for only $2 more. Even music buyers want value today.

Ashley Tisdale is still on the charts. Week five sees her at #162. Selena Gomez and 78violet (Aly & AJ) are missing – as are their new releases (when girls, when?). Also missing, which never even charted, the Bandslam soundtrack; pitiful.

Gomez made the singles chart debuting at #93 with Falling Down; and Magic falling to #91 after four weeks on the charts. 78violet could be there too. Next Worse Thing debuted weeks ago on KROQ. No release of the single yet, though - just like the CD and tour!

Come on Miley, it's Walmart. You're also going to see your lowest sales ever. You've got a seven song $5 EP selling for $8. One of those songs was already released on Lines Vines and Trying Times by the Jonas Brothers. Now you're at $1.34 per song. No bargain. If it wasn't for iTunes releasing Potty in the U.S.A., you wouldn't be #14 on the singles chart.

Feel sorry for KISS. They've got the same deal with Walmart.
