Forbes top celebrity list only off about a third
for Taylor Swift's 2009 income
Afraid to look at what Forbes did to
Jonas Brothers

Forbes was a LOT kinder to Taylor Swift than Miley Cyrus.

Forbes placed Swift's 2009 at $45-million, which is about 2/3 of what she actually made. Better than Cyrus' 1/3 reported by Forbes.

Swift's Fearless was released in 2008, but to be honest, Swift didn't kick into being the hottest thing in show business for this decade until about June of 2009.

Swift recently commanded $3.7-million for a Boston Gillette Stadium concert. Let's be conservative and say the 56 shows she did in 2009 earned her only $750,00 per performance. That's $42-million, close to the $45-million Forbes gave her. We'll overlook the $10-million plus she made on iTune and CD sales in 2009. Forbes uses New Math and I don't want to mess that up. To be honest, after reviewing what they did to Cyrus, I have no idea how they apply New Math.

More honesty. Don't think I have enough fingers and toes to figure out how many singles hits Swift had in 2009 Let's say she made about half-a-million off EACH of those.

I'm afraid to look at what Forbes did to other artists, including The Jonas Brothers. I DO KNOW Ke$ha's 2010 income will blow up like a nuke bomb compared to her 2009 income. I just paid a gazillion $$$ to see her July 22 show...

For second year in a row
Forbes under reports Miley Cyrus income
When is the public going to learn
mainstream media full of ca-ca?

One year ago posted how Forbes reported Miley Cyrus made $25-million in 2008 when she made $150-million+. Guess what, Forbes was generous this year upping Cyrus to $48-million.

Forbes must be a LOT smarter at the new math than me, In 2009, Cyrus did 51 concerts - announced on this site first in April, 2009 (also announced her 2010 tour first week in May)- i
ncluding the United Kingdom earning $1-million per concert. According to Forbes' New Math that's well under $48-million, because Forbes had to include the 26 episodes of Hannah Montana, where Cyrus got an estimated $20,000 per episode (before 4th season sign on bonus). Then two movies, one called Hannah Montana, the other Last Song. Three CDs, Time of Our Lives, Hannah Montana 3 and Hannah Montana the Movie. Don't forget the merchandising deal with Walmart that added greatly to her 2009 income.

Yes, Forbes says $48-million. Everyone is buying it too. Not me. I, as Hilary Duff says, do the math. I put her near $150,000,000 for the second year in a row. Her total wealth near or over 1/2-billion $$.

Marketing Sociologist can predict the future
Eminem's Recovery blocks
Miley Cyrus from top 200 albums slot

Can't Be Tamed will not be at the top of the "album" charts on July 1. That pleasure will go to Eminem's Recovery CD. It looked like Cyrus would be #1 out of the box, but as this blog has witnessed since last fall, Cyrus has become as relevant as her predecessor, Hilary Duff. Whenever Cyrus is featured here, readership goes down. Could explain why Eminem will top her. Sure she bought his CD, too.

Life imitates art
Selena Gomez to Miley Cyrus
"I'm going to steal all your fans
and there's nothing you can do about it."

Wow, if the writers of Hannah Montana didn't see the future? Check this scene out from Hannah Montana:

This blog has mentioned Miley Cyrus who has a new CD out Tuesday, Can't Be Tamed, a show Monday in Los Angeles; then Nashville on Tuesday. Readership on this blog has fallen since those posts about Miley Cyrus.

Selena Gomez has Round & Round, a new single (she's listening to Marketing Sociologist that albums are dead, long live the single), that will premiere tomorrow on Disney and be released Monday on iTunes - 21st Century marketing.

Let's see if mentioning Selena Gomez instead of Miley Cyrus raises readership. Was Gomez right when she said she was stealing all of Hannah Montana's fans?

Miley Cyrus talks about being slutty

Recent Miley Cyrus comments: "I'm really comfortable with my body," There's a few guys, maybe named Liam and Justin, who say the same thing about her body.... of work. "I'm not trying to be 'slutty,'" said Cyrus in a recent interview. "I'm not trying to be like, go to the club and get a bunch of guys ..."

More Miley Cyrus news
Hannah Montana last season
One month away

Everyone has been asking, including princesses, when the final season (four) of Hannah Montana is going to air.

Just got word it will be on July 11 with Sweet Home Hannah Montana. July 18 will be Hannah Montana to the Principal's Office and July 25 California Screamin'. Reportedly she doesn't get out of California until the season finale, a cliff hanger for that Hannah Montana 2010 movie, 18, Legal and Dangerous.

Miley Cyrus gets it on for Nashville
Same day
Can't Be Tamed released

More than a month ago, Marketing Sociologist said Miley Cyus would tour in 2010. She has been criticized for doing nothing for Nashville following all the flooding there this spring.

Guess what? Cyrus joins Taylor Swift, that li'l ol' band from Tejas ZZ Top, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, daddy Billy Ray, Brooks & Dunn (I thought they were done) and more 10 days from now, June 22, for Nashville Rising benefit at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. Want to bet she'll perform Robot and other songs off Can't Be Tamed?

How ironic, Nashville Rising happens to be the EXACT day Can't Be Tame is released!

Is there a hidden message in this WireImage photo of Vanessa Hudgens?

First, I hate ripping off WireImage, or anyone else. Hope WireImage will give me a pass - I love their work - if I include a link or two.

According to Beverly Hills Hotel, Zac & Vanessa were not married there today. The hotel did not have next week's schedule of weddings, though.

Lastly, I don't think it stands for WireImage Foto; but...

Taylor Swift has close shave!

taylorswift13 It's so hard to believe this is the last night of the Fearless Tour-- and that it's in Gillette Stadium! I'm walking on a cloud today. (from Twitter)
