Comedy act Glee tops
Billboard album charts
Ironically the week I started listening to the second Glee effort, the television show crew landed at the top of Billboard's album charts, selling nearly 100,000 out-of-the-box Glee: The Music, The Power of Madonna....
Listening to Glee 2, I thought it was probably the worst album ever made, including American Idiot's William Hung or Black Eyed Peas' Fergie.
Then I listened to Glee's version of Jump. Immediately I knew it was a comedy album. Not even William Hung or William Shatner could have performed this song so badly.

Miley Cyrus ends chart drought
When I Look At You #16
Following two singles that stiffed
Eight weeks into the charts, Miley Cyrus' When I look at You, originally released on The Time of Our Lives EP, but more recently on The Last Song soundtrack, is perched at #16 on Billboard's Hot 100 with a star - meaning it's rising.
This follows two singles that stiffed - Nothing to Lose with Bret Michaels, and my favorite of all Miley songs, Timbaland's We Belong to the Music.

Tween music resurrected
Justin Bieber My World 2.0
Tops Billboard 200 tomorrow
Next week Usher #1
It's been almost a years since Tween Music died, but Justin Bieber, the youngest male vocalist to hit Billboard's Top 200 in nearly 50 years (Stevie Wonder, 13, 1963) resurrected it during Easter week. Bieber's My World 2.0 leads the pack, followed by Monica's Still Standing, debuting at #2.Still waiting for Bieber's sister, Ima, to release her CD.
Bieber sold nearly 300,000 CDs in a week, making him nearly a half-million dollars. That should get him a nice car. Mr. Bieber, take some advice. Commercial real estate is down. Ten years from now you'll have something to fall back on.
Usher's Raymond Vs. Raymond's sales are so entrenched, it is a sure thing for next week's #1 spot.
In other news, Miley Cyrus The Last Song opens today. When will the DVD be out?

Ke$ha longest #1 song for 2010 - Tik Tok

Two more weeks and Ke$ha will be the longest charting debut female singer in history. She's on her 9th week at #1 with Tik Tok. If she stays on top of the heap next week, she ties Debbie Boone's 10 week record for debut female vocalist with You Light Up My Life from 1977.
Question is, will she be dethroned by We Are The World? Lady Antebellum came close last week, but fell to #6 while Ke$ha maintains her top slot. We Are The World debuts at #2.

Ke$ha next big thing
Dies rapidly as Vampire Weekend
Tops Billboard charts tomorrow
Taylor Swift closing in on singles chart
Ke$ha, lauded by the media as the next big thing, Gaga Jr., spent one week at the top of Billboard's top 200 charts. Even American Idiot winners David Archuleta and David Cook made it to the #2 spot on the top 200.Ke$ha falls to #3, selling about 150,000 total CDs - which isn't bad and beat Ashley Tisdale's two week 30,000 for Guilty Pleasure five fold.
Not sure if Ke$ha will remain at the top of the singles chart, but Taylor Swift's Today was a Fairytale will take #1 single within the next three weeks - as soon as radio stations start playing it.
Vampire Weekend is an Owl City sound-alike. Listen to Jack's Mannequin or Something Corporate for better talent in this arena.

Everything Miley Cyrus touches turns to gold
Potty in the U.S.A. Billboard's highest gainer

We'll need to wait a couple weeks to see if The Time of Our Lives is #1 on Billboard's album chart, but Miley Cyrus' Potty in the U.S.A. took Billboard's highest gainer this week, leaping up to #14. She may be the one to knock out The Black Eyed Peas record setting reign at #1.
