Did Vanessa Hudgens as Bond girl break records?
Thank you for your support of Tween Music, Tween Marketing and Marketing Sociologist

Would like to thank all who visited this site Friday, June 12, 2009. You blew this site to the upper echelon of the Internet with the most visitors in one day. Seems everyone is clamoring to learn about Vanessa Hudgens, Doogie Howser and Mary Kate Olsen in “Beastly,” or they all agree Hudgen’s should be in the 23rd Bond movie as the Bond girl!

Also contributing to the site’s success was Miley Cyrus – those words are golden. Just say the words and everything turns to gold. Ask Shanica Knowles or Malese Jow! Visit their MySpace pages for fantastic music, too. Watch for book, Building the Band Brand: Becoming famous in the 21st Century. Thank you Cleveland, Detroit and my relatives in Buttevant and Jersey Isle.

Vanessa Hudgens and Mary Kate Olsen get beastly with Doogie Howser

This should be good. Mary Kate Olsen and Vanessa Hudgens are currently filming “Beastly,” reportedly around Montreal. The best part is, it also stars Doogie Howser! Yes, Neil Patrick Harris. No wonder we haven’t seen Zac and Vanessa together recently.

According to
Wikipedia, here’s the plot: “Kyle Kingsbury, rich, handsome and popular, is turned into a beast when he plays a mean practical joke on a distasteful girl in his class, who is really a witch in disguise. He is locked in a mansion-like apartment by his shallow, image-obsessed father. His only company is his housekeeper, Magda, and, at his request, a tutor named Will. Kyle has two years to truly fall in love with someone and earn their love in return, or remain a beast forever. After a year of being in this state, and trying and failing to find love, Kyle changes his name to Adrian to reflect his feelings of being a completely different person from the conceited, materialistic boy he used to be. When a robber stumbles into his garden Adrian offers him a deal; he won't report the robber to the police if the robber brings Adrian his daughter, Linda (Hudgens). She is Adrian's last chance to break the spell before his two years are up.”

The CBS Films (does that mean it will go to theaters or television?) is being directed by newcomer Daniel Barnz. In other words, Doogie Howzer will steal the show no matter who plays Kyle Kingsbury, as he did in the Harold and Kumar series.

Based on some book written by someone other than Tony Hillerman, so who cares.

Scheduled to be released July of next year. After that, Hudgens is set to film "Sucker Punch," for release in March 2011.

There's rumor of a 23rd James Bond film - I believe Hudgens would make the perfect Bond girl! Wake up, Hollywood.

I want Guilty Pleasure, Ashley Tisdale

Allow me to deem Ashley Tisdale brilliant. I knew I had heard It’s Alright, It’s Okay, her new song, somewhere. This still may not be the right one, but it is close.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of speaking to my wonderful daughter face-to-face. Unfortunately my daughter is of the Lindsay Lohan, Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen generation and doesn’t understand singing along to Taylor Swift songs when they play. Alas, she’s not a Tween 12-year old anymore.

Our conversation was about if Aly and AJ release a CD with material similar to what they’ve done in the past that they are dead; or as finished with music as their peer Hilary Duff.

I played my daughter some Vanessa Hudgens. We discussed how Britney Spears, just months ago the scourge of the media, is once more its darling. Like her mentor Madonna, Britney is smart to transform.

Britney’s key is to STEAL from other - about to become popular - songs. Now, it appears Ashley Tisdale has done the same. Listen to V and Circus and you’ll hear similarities.

I loved Ashley Tisdale’s first CD, Headstrong. On High School Musical material her voice cracks and is played out like Hollywood Records plays out Miley Cyrus – whose voice is changing and is cracking.

I’m really looking forward to Guilty Pleasure, even though Tisdale has over-hyped it on MySpace and Twitter. Great that she’s using those marketing tools, though. Twenty-first Century celebrity!

Zack and Cody generation

For years I’ve been calling Tweens “the Zack and Cody generation.” With the popularity of Ms. $400,000 per day Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, I thought I was wrong.

The fantastic part is Zack and Cody justified my faith by taking the 2009 Kids’ Choice Award for best TV actor. Can you name the billionaire twin TV actors/actresses who are Zack & Cody’s managers?

It is time for the Zack and Cody generation!
