Vanessa Hudgens and Mary Kate Olsen get beastly with Doogie Howser

This should be good. Mary Kate Olsen and Vanessa Hudgens are currently filming “Beastly,” reportedly around Montreal. The best part is, it also stars Doogie Howser! Yes, Neil Patrick Harris. No wonder we haven’t seen Zac and Vanessa together recently.

According to
Wikipedia, here’s the plot: “Kyle Kingsbury, rich, handsome and popular, is turned into a beast when he plays a mean practical joke on a distasteful girl in his class, who is really a witch in disguise. He is locked in a mansion-like apartment by his shallow, image-obsessed father. His only company is his housekeeper, Magda, and, at his request, a tutor named Will. Kyle has two years to truly fall in love with someone and earn their love in return, or remain a beast forever. After a year of being in this state, and trying and failing to find love, Kyle changes his name to Adrian to reflect his feelings of being a completely different person from the conceited, materialistic boy he used to be. When a robber stumbles into his garden Adrian offers him a deal; he won't report the robber to the police if the robber brings Adrian his daughter, Linda (Hudgens). She is Adrian's last chance to break the spell before his two years are up.”

The CBS Films (does that mean it will go to theaters or television?) is being directed by newcomer Daniel Barnz. In other words, Doogie Howzer will steal the show no matter who plays Kyle Kingsbury, as he did in the Harold and Kumar series.

Based on some book written by someone other than Tony Hillerman, so who cares.

Scheduled to be released July of next year. After that, Hudgens is set to film "Sucker Punch," for release in March 2011.

There's rumor of a 23rd James Bond film - I believe Hudgens would make the perfect Bond girl! Wake up, Hollywood.

  1. i totally agree she is the perfect bondgirl

  2. Thanks, Zac. Next time you can sign yourself instead of signing Anonymous!

  3. LMAO!!!

    Did you hear that Zac?!

Anyhow, CBS Films is the new studio arm of CBS so Beastly will be going to Theaters July 31st as one of their first new slate of films. it would be interesting to see how they handle that.

I'll love to see Vanessa as the new Bond girl but I think she might be too young for that. Who knows, with the right kind of make-up, she could pull it off. She has the ability to pull off young and cute and yet sultry and older depending on the occasion.

  4. Thanks, Chika (pronounced She-ka in my Sonoran desert home). Mila Kunis is so hating your right now! "Less Expensive Vanessa Hudgens"

That's July 31, 2010, I'm sure, because it is OFFICIALLY filming in Canada (not can-yad-a as we say) right now and you wouldn't want to mess up Bandslam's success!

  5. Hey Richard,

You wanted to know where we talked about your site in TH, here you go:

It kind of sparked some talk about wanting to see her in the 'Bourne' series instead. But certainly, maybe 5 years from now, I would want to see her as a 'bond' girl too. Or something similar.

  6. I disagree (about age). This from Wikipedia, "The typical Bond Girl is in her early to mid-twenties, roughly ten years younger than Bond, who seems to be perennially in his mid-thirties." By the time she gets her contractual obligations done for current movies - and promotions plus a new CD and tour (that I want!), she'll be at the right age.

All that's left for Bond series are short stories. At 22 movies, they've burned through the books.

Question is, what would Vanessa Hudgens name be? I vote for Kissy Suzuki (yes, a Bond girl). Since this is a FAMILY site, can't mention the most popular Bond girl name, let's end it with Galore. Love the double entendres, like hidden lyrics/words in Lady GaGa's Poker Face. Trust me, she's not talking about card games.

If Vanessa Hudgens gets picked for a Bond girl, how will Mila Kunis feel (see Less Expensive Vanessa Hudgens, or something like that, on this site)?
