Whaever happened to Michelle Branch?
Is this Miley Cyrus' future?
Then she formed the Wreckers, and that's exactly what it did to her career. Sounds like Cheyenne Kimball joining Gloriana. Is Branch's career foretelling Miley Cyrus' future? After all, those tour tickets have been on sale for four months and are yet to sell out.
Stick with us as next week we explore, Whatever happened to J-Lo? Is this Mariah Carey's future?
Bandslam - both movie and CD stiff

Bandslam movie has failed to make $3-million in its first week. It opened at #13. The soundtrack, released Aug. 11, should have been on the charts this week. Per Billboard, "album has failed to chart."
Wow. I thought the movie was going to excel. It has had spotty marketing. The video of Vanessa Hudgens singing Everything I Own was out for months, but no one - even today - has thought of releasing a single and getting airplay. Think if they had utilized Marketing Sociologist. Would have been one of the year's biggest, not the dog of the year.

Aly & AJ 78violet go heavy metal with Next Worse Thing
The only thing missing from this is the growling scream voice every heavy metal act has. This song will not endure them to their main core fan base, but it will open them to stations like KROQ where this song debuted.
If I had produced the song, it would have more guitar parts, produced in Nashville or Memphis’ Ardent Studios where you can find some fantastic musicians. Slow it down about 15 to 20 beats. Clear up the sound.
You have to admit, even at this tempo – which is too fast for their voices – Aly & AJ sound fantastic. Great lyrics and you can differentiate Aly from AJ.

Miley Cyrus singlehandedly saving Tween music
Party in the U.S.A. #1 on iTunes
While the Bandslam movie and soundtrack fall harder than aircraft on the Hudson, Miley Cyrus is #1 on iTunes with Party in the U.S.A.
Tend not to watch iTunes as much as Billboard/SoundScan that comes out Thursday. Yet, sales are sales.
The artist to watch, Pitbull, is #8 with Hotel Room Service. Tween music on the iTunes top 10 include Taylor Swift #9 with You Belong to Me and #7, the Disney Tween stars with Send It On.

Is the whole world going Spanish?
High School Musical
Here she is wearing one of Vanessa Hudgens' outfits, but she's wearing shorts, something Ms. Hudgens doesn't.
