The only thing missing from this is the growling scream voice every heavy metal act has. This song will not endure them to their main core fan base, but it will open them to stations like KROQ where this song debuted.
If I had produced the song, it would have more guitar parts, produced in Nashville or Memphis’ Ardent Studios where you can find some fantastic musicians. Slow it down about 15 to 20 beats. Clear up the sound.
You have to admit, even at this tempo – which is too fast for their voices – Aly & AJ sound fantastic. Great lyrics and you can differentiate Aly from AJ.
