Two weeks ago Disney star Aly Michalka tweeted "It's already been a great 2014 but it's an even better one now #happy #wedidit"

Tonight, she tweeted "Driving home...back to the real world now but happy to know our secret little spots are hidden in Gods nature." Looks like she's married.

She also had this tweet within hours of above "Couldn't be more thankful for a wonderful getaway to my favorite place with my favorite person"

It may be Alyson Michalka's 21st birthday, but the person she had a facial with on Tuesday is going and neither of the Michalka sisters were invited. They sit watching Repo Man while Ashley Tisdale is enjoying the premier. Both Tisdale and birthday girl Michalka are filming the Hellcats movie, too.

Rather than sending out a Twitter or Facebook comment, 78violet Aly & AJ sent this email, we can tell you we’re no longer a part of Hollywood Records. What does that mean exactly??? Now we have the freedom to take 78violet in the direction we want. We’re writing and recording new music and are really excited on what’s next.

They added, We’re going to be taking the Aly & AJ website down. That pretty much means they were dumped by their label, Hollywood Records and their CDs are headed to the cutout bin.

Finalizing the fiasco, they added, As for the album we recorded for Hollywood, honestly, we don’t foresee it ever being released. But…we are continuing to write and record new songs that we hope you’ll love as much as we do. That pretty much means Hollywood saw no commercial value to the stuff they've done since their last album, Insomniatics (released in 2007 - three years ago).

A year ago I blogged Whatever happened to Aly & AJ. The advice was to tour. In the forthcoming book, Building the Band Brand: Becoming famous in the 21st Century, there's a whole chapter (one of the longest in the book) on the need to tour.

Another point that may have contributed to the demise of 78violet’s association with Hollywood was a lack of focus (goal setting, again in the book). Like so many girls who want to be musicians, they go off on an acting tangent and forget the music (seems to have happened to Vampire Diaries Malese Jow, plus many more that won’t be mentioned. Jow is realizing more success in acting than she was with music, but I love her voice.).

Best of luck to Aly and AJ for several years you were my favs. On stage, you were in the David Bowie quality. Going to miss you.

Favorite 2009 CD - 78violet Aly & AJ

My favorite CD for 2009 was 78violet, Aly and AJ. Terrific CD promised for both the summer and fall release. Let's see, it's been HOW many years since they toured? Funny how fast the public forgets you when you aren't touring - ask Britney.

Taylor Swift youngest winner CMA Entertainer of the Year

Why wait for tonight. We all know who's going to be named CMA entertainer of the year. Ironic ABC Television has this awards show and six months from now we have the ACM Awards. Disney knows how to make $$$$, pitch those country music awards shows.

Would bet Swift would take home the female vocalist award, but ABC is smart. Need to cover the baby-boomer audience, so most likely will go to Reba McEntire or Carrie Underwood. Personally, I vote for Selena Gomez! Aly & AJ would have won, but haven't heard from them musically since that newly discovered African dinosaur roamed the earth.

Also predicting Swift's Fearless gets album of the year. Could also go to Sugarland. Anyone else is a shill.

Start a Band by Brad Paisley with Keith Urban has a shot at beating Swift's Love Story for video of the year. Wait, who are we kidding? This is ABC awards where $$$$ rules - Swift! Beyonce if Kanye West is judging.

What, 15 didn't get nominated for song of the year? Swift not in that category?
