Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) role model – Why?

She’s had two skanky magazine pictorials – Elle and Vanity Fair (blamed Annie Leibovitz for that one). Yet at 16 and one-half, Miley Cyrus has made $400,000 per day since she was 14 and is on track to make $500,000 per day this year.

Yet she’ll take a television gig for several days that pays only $5,000. Most teenage girls would feel the mall more important than that check – could be why Cyrus is making $500,000 per day and your 16 year old is not!

LET’S RUN DOWN THIS YEAR’S GOLD (platinum)

Hannah Montana movie

Hannah Montana movie soundtrack

Filming Last Song

Tons of Radio Disney promotions, also featured radio tour promotion

Book – Miles to Go

Deal ($$$$) with Walmart

Fall tour ($$$$$-) – worries me it is not sold out yet. If Bruce Springsteen can do it in his late 40s, why can’t Cyrus at 16? Different economic times though.

Signs for Hannah Montana on Deck – 4th season ($$$$+)

Hannah Montana 3 soundtrack

T-shirt and poster sales at concert (does she get a cut of popcorn and sodas?) ($$$$+)

Miley Cyrus may be on track to steal James Brown’s title as the hardest working man in show biz. Thank goodness she’s a girl. She’s only 16; with her earning power, she could buy a few countries.

So is this the sort of person you want your children emulating? Oh, did I mention still has family values – or at least that’s what her PR machine projects.
